Registration Brochure (PDF): 2017 Kewaunee County 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Bird Registration Brochure
Are you longing for sunshine filled summer days? Are you looking for something fun to do this summer? Would you like to make some new friends? Parents and children alike may be wondering what lies ahead for the summer months. 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Bird is going to be just the place for you. UW-Extension and the 4-H Leader’s Association are sponsoring a summer camp at Camp Bird in Crivitz, WI.
Summer camp is geared toward 3rd-6th grade students and is going to take place June 14th – 17th, 2017. The cost of summer camp is $135.00 for 4-H members and $155.00 for community members not currently enrolled in the 4-H program. We never want cost to be a reason someone does not participate in summer camp. Camp scholarships are available through a generous gift from the Mike and Sue Smullen family. For more information on camp scholarships, contact Jill at (920)388-7185
Summer camp is four days filled with camp activities like waterfront, nature, teamwork, campfires, group games, and arts and crafts. Camp is set in the beautiful Northwoods with its own lake. Get ready to have fun, meet new friends, and learn about nature, arts & crafts, group games and more!
Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. More summer camp details are available in the registration brochure. Registration materials are available through at the Extension Office, through 4-H club leaders, and online at http://kewaunee.uwex.edu and are due by May 5, 2017.
Camp Volunteers Needed
We are looking for adult volunteers to help at summer camp. As a volunteer you will have an opportunity to help make the summer camp program a success.
The camp is nestled in a beautiful wooded area with a lake. Camp Bird is a residential type camp with modern bathrooms, cabin sleeping facilities, a dining hall, recreation building, arts and crafts center, a nature building, and much more.
There is no cost to volunteers. However, all volunteers that have not been through 4-H adult leader orientation will need to attend that training and have a background check completed.
To receive an application, please contact the UW-Extension office at (920) 388-7135.
