Notes From The HCE Co-Presidentshce-pres

Hello and Happy Springtime everyone!

Thank you to Linda Vogel and Janice Gilbertson for presenting the program on “Ancient Grains”. It was a tasty meeting! And an educational one too! With LOTS to sample, no one went home hungry. Thank you Renee Koenig for presenting the program “Preplanning for the Loss of a Loved One”. Hopefully your suggestions will enable us to better prepare our final affairs for our families.

We are looking forward to the 11th Annual Salad Supper on Tuesday April 4. As the grass starts growing, the cows will graze and so will we at the Salad Supper, M-M-M. Looking ahead to the Spring Banquet, it will be another opportunity to enjoy delicious food again, this time at the Rendezvous. Be sure to bring your husband along to the enjoy food, socialization, and awesome entertainment.

We have had meetings to plan for the HCE booth at Farm Technology Days, which will be held at the Ebert Farm July 11, 12, & 13. Please volunteer to help in the booth, and pass out the bookmarks we have all been busy making. It will be a great opportunity to showcase many of the great things our Kewaunee County HCE has been involved in!

We also had a planning meeting for hosting the NE District meeting on Oct. 17 at the Rendezvous. Several great ideas were discussed, and several members volunteered to head up some of the committees. We will be asking for more volunteers to get the tasks completed.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!! The date for serving the pies at Music in the Park has been set for Sunday, July 9 when “Let Me Be Frank” performs.

REMEMBER TO CONTINUE RECORDING YOUR ACTIVITIES FOR ON THE MOVE AND IN THE GROOVE, May Kewaunee County be the winner again with the most points!

Warm regards,

Judy & Mari

Respectfully submitted, Co-Presidents Mari Fager & Judy Malcore , Kewaunee County HCE
