Civility Project Training May 9 in Algoma

Have you been in a meeting or event when someone acted disrespectfully? Have you been turned off at a dinner party because people get angry with each other about politics? You are not alone

Representatives from the Door County Civility Project, Shirley Senarighi and Mark Nelson, will share principles and practices of Civil Discourse Wednesday, May 9 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm at St. John’s Church, E5221 Church Rd, Algoma. Participants will learn tools to apply in their personal and professional lives to promote civility in our community.

The Door County Civility Project’s work began in 2013, built upon efforts taking place in communities throughout the region, state, nation, and world. They use the “Speak Your Peace” promotional materials that were developed in Duluth-Superior and successfully used in Truckee-Tahoe, California, Oshkosh, Wisconsin and other communities throughout the country

Anyone interested is welcome to join us as we learn more about the activities of the Door County Civility Project and help build a stronger sense of widespread commitment to the practice of civility here in Kewaunee County.

The program is free to attend. Registration is for program materials. Please register at
